Trina Solar - 185W
Trina Solar Limited is a well recognised manufacturer of high quality photovoltaic cells and modules. It has a long history and is a solar PV pioneer since being founded in 1997.
Trina Solar has long term partnerships with leading equipment suppliers in Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. Trina Solar was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in December 2006.
The Trina panels have been approved by the Australian Clean Energy Council to handle the Australian climate. Further to this, Trina panels have been installed at the Australian Government Solar Centre facility in Alice Springs.
This facility is a $3.1M initiative that showcases a range of solar power technologies and commercial brands used in domestic homes. The Hon Peter Garrett, Minister for Environment, opened the centre in October 2008. Located in the centre of Australia in an extreme environment where temperatures soar to 45 degrees in summer and plummet to 0 degress in winter, the location presents the ideal climate to evaluate the performance of the various Australian and International solar technologies.
The Trina Panels have been top performers in Europe for many years but is relatively new to Australia. Their performance here has exceeded everyone’s expectations. The live performance data on all the installations can be found at the website www.dkasolarcentre.com.au. You can compare the different brands such as Trina, Sunpower, and BP panels. When the data is normalised (comparing on a per kW basis), the performance of the Trina panels exceeds those of other manufacturers. www.trinasolar.com
